We have seen this finishing ring many different ways on late year cars over the years. We've been told that originally they were crystal clear in appearance with silver paint on the back edge. Because of the lack of UV inhibitors in old rubbers a slight yellowing occurs. Often, but not always, these rings are painted front & back in the color of the car, silver, blue, red etc. These, injection molded, repros can be easily painted any color and come in a transparent amber which remarkably look like the originals after being exposed to the sun for decades.< ORDER by Part#1125CL $41.10 1ST PHOTO:Repro amber economy replacement. Mounts on the front face of the windshield frame. Photo looks gray (see 4th PHOTO) but the 3 pieces are actually molded in a hard black vacuum formed plastic. Includes the top finishing U-Channel trim piece pictured separately and also installed in one of the photos. This can be used in place of the top chrome trim piece on the 68 & 69 model year cars. This Vacuum formed kit is a replica of the 1970 model. Although it is different from the 68 and 69 model many roadster owners have used this in place of the 68 /69 model Weldwood - contact adhesive has been recommended by a customer as a alternate glue for securing the 3 pieces pictured. Our 3 piece pad set is our best seller. A little bit of work is required for fitting the left hand and right pieces to fit flush to the center piece. Also drilling holes at the drill point locators is required and of course assembling and gluing. |

Partnumber: 2828 Datsun Roadster Dull Aluminum Spray Plus Satin Overcoat 2 Cans Included 67 1/2, 68 - 70 USA(Y/L/R) Dull aluminum spray that matches the original Nissan aluminum paint that was used to dull down the 67 1/2 windshield frame pieces, sun visor hardware, door opener escutcheon plates, shift plate trim etc. Also used on the small 68 - 70 bezels that hold the electrical switches, choke & throttle mechanisms in place and the ashtray and slider. Included with this can is a necessary satin finish (non yellowing) seal coat if you want the aluminum to be preserved with a protective overcoat. 01/20/18 |
